How the Garden Horizons 5-Minute Shop Cycle Works
The Garden Horizons shop refreshes every 5 real-world minutes, synced to
wall-clock time: :00, :05, :10, :15, :20, :25, :30...
Here's what that means in practice.
Wall-clock sync
The shop doesn't refresh every 5 minutes since you logged in. It refreshes at specific wall-clock moments. If you log in at 10:03, the next refresh is at 10:05 — only 2 minutes later. If you log in at 10:04:59, you catch the next refresh 1 second later.
That's why our countdown on the home page counts down to the next wall-clock boundary, not to a fixed 5-minute timer from page load.
Why there's sometimes a small delay
Several sources contribute:
- The game server itself (when does it actually rotate stock?)
- The community mirror we pull from (when does it see the rotation?)
- Our poll cadence — we follow their recommended interval, around 120 seconds.
End-to-end, expect 0–30 seconds of lag during a critical refresh window.
If you refresh our page right after :05:00 and the data
still looks like the previous cycle, give it up to half a minute.
What we do about it
We display a live countdown synced to UTC wall-clock, and we mark our data with a real timestamp so you can see exactly how old it is. No hand-waving, no fake "up to date" labels. If the data is stale, the timestamp will say so.
